My time at IIMN - We are here.
Well, in the previous post, I told you guys that I am
interning at IIM Nagpur, this time, am gonna tell you about my time at IIMN,
also The Infamous is a great album, isn’t it?
Had a train from Kolhapur to Nagpur on 12th of
May, it was gonna be a 24 hour train journey, food was prebooked, wasn’t an
issue. What, was gonna be an issue was no charging ports for side lower in a
second AC coach, terrible. Also, Survival of the fittest is such a banger song.
As usual, I spent half time sleeping, and rest half listening to songs, with no
one to chatter. I made sure to search and find and confirm the metro routes I
would have to take in order to reach the IIMN campus, wasn’t gonna be easy, I
had to change a metro line and take the last station on the second line, thanks
Reddit!
13th of May, the next day, I step foot and god, I
am cooked, quite literally, the heat was such it could toast a loaf better than
a toaster, headed to the metro station just adjacent to the railway station,
did the adventure hopping, reached the last station from which I was gonna have
to take a taxi to the campus, did, and I was standing in front of the main gate
of the Indian Institute of Management, Nagpur, well, good entrance I must say,
B-schools got a thing for aesthetics; money, obviously.
I took a tonne of photos to send back home, the campus is really really posh,
fed my IG stories for days after that, until I again quit, and haven’t come back
yet. I talked to the person I was supposed to for my room keys, filled two forms,
was handed my room keys, room was on the ground floor, and the single room they
gave me was just amazing, it was all I needed for the next 30 days to work as
my as I wanted, though I mostly spent my time in the air conditioned office,
due to the heat in the room, which got my mattress wet due to sweat, yeah it
was that hot. I was really hungry, went to the mess for snacks, just 25rs for
those amazing sandwiches and tea, what else do you need, took a walk around,
later took a shower, twice actually, because I loved the toilets so much.
I am leaving it here because I need to write over my R code for some changes,
but I will come back and tell the story of the entire thirty days, will also
have me hooked to writing, will try my best to being as consistent as possible.
