Where have I been?
I havent posted anything in a while, almost 9 months, or almost two semesters. Now, obviously nobody cares where have I been, its not like this blog has a zillion readers, but I would still like to go on.
Its a Sunday almost noon, at the IISERB library first floor, which has been my go to place since past month due to the ridiculously irritating heat here, and what, maybe 500 others as well? Nevermind, coming back, I had not planned to write anything anytime soon, but I came here today, was feeling pretty bored, did some light work, which I think is gonna bite me back in the near future, anyways, I was just looking at the blog analytics, and thought, ah, lets give it a shot today, its been a long time we've written, so here I am, on it.
I genuinely love the album - The Division Bell, 2011 remastered version of Pink Floyd, its pretty soothing and I am writing this as it plays.
The past, almost a year has been pretty nice, especially my fifth semester, I realised what I wanna finally work on, which is operations research and supply chain management, or something in the neighbourhood of that. Healthwise, it had been a pretty rollercoaster ride, in the last two months, I have been hit by sinusitis, diarrhoea, a viral fever that almost made me feather weighted. Guys, please take care of your health, its very, very important, its prolly the biggest adult-life realisation that I've had until now, and this album is so good man.
The library today is surprisingly pretty less crowded, given the endsems start next week and today is a Sunday, well, good for me, I dont have to bear the irritating first year groups who think library is a great place for group study. Oh and, just relalised its been almost exactly two years to when I started this blog, on 12 April, 2023. Damn, been a while man. One of the things that I am most afraid of is that college will end one day and I no more will have the top tier hostel life that I have now, ten guys sitting in a room on a random Tuesday night at 2 AM, discussing the most absurd topics known, absolutely useless, but therapeutic like nothing could be. Man, I will miss this.
I dont think I have said this, but I am a data science major now, which I genuinely feel has been a great decision, going against the decision of picking physics as my major. I actually realised I like and am sorta good at applied math, statistics, and operations. I actually also watched Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon in the same month, January this year. Dude, they are so, so nicee, eagerly waiting for the next season of HOTD. Suits LA dropped too, though not even close to what the original Suits is, it seems like a good effort though.
One really important realisation I have come across my behaviour is that I DO NOT like sharing study tables, I would, if I really get along with that person, but ahhh, let this pass. I also have started to really like academic speaking, and public speaking in general, have an affinity for that. And so many people watching movies and TV shows here at library. Arpan and Om across the other table, Arpan making his study routine on Excel and has been reading CAT interview stories on reddit, Om seems to be troubling ChatGPT for his Deep Learning project, which I now realise, should be working on as well. I have a feeling I am gonna write a lot from now on, feels good.
Anyways, I'll see if I can keep up to that, and come back soon, until then, bye.
