56 Days Later.

Yeah so I am back after a long time, last I published was June 1st, I know, long time ago. Today’s 27th July, almost two months later after I am nearly done with my summer break and have completed a year of college, I can think of nothing to write, wow.

I had my final paper of 1st year on 9th July, marking the onset of my vacation.
All the time in this vacation I did was sleep, yeah I did plan to go out but rains in Kolhapur had different plans to not let me even step out. I started doing some competitive coding only to realise I need to sharpen my axe a hell lot more to progress. I am writing this sitting on my old desk with the song Machine by Imagine Dragons blasting on my headset and my mom cooking in the kitchen. Trust me, I had planned to write a lot in this vacation but my mind just couldn’t settle on anything, even writing this was an impulsive decision because I literally was running out of things to do!

(Oh, now its In The End by LinkinPark blasting, great song you know.)

I woke this morning reading some news, Jio plans to do a joint venture with BlackRock, I am sure many people know Jio, but very few might know BlackRock.
So what is BlackRock, it’s an American investment company based in NYC. Its right now world’s largest asset management with roughly $8.6 trillion, as of December 31, 2022. But, you can say that BlackRock literally owns the world, almost, why? It’s the major stakeholder in almost all the big corporations in the world along with Vanguard. What about the joint venture with Jio?

Well this is what BlackRock has to say

“Jio BlackRock brings BlackRock’s deep expertise and talent in investment management, risk management, product excellence, access to technology, operations, scale, and intellectual capital around markets, while JFS contributes local market knowledge, digital infrastructure capabilities and robust execution capabilities. Together, the partnership will introduce a new player to the India market with a unique combination of scope, scale, and resources. JFS and BlackRock are targeting initial investment of US$150 million each in the joint venture

Interesting, what it seems to me as of now. There always had been a dire need of a good institutional firm and investment strategist for the people of India ( or should I say Bharat) . I hope this joint venture would fulfil the need.

(The rains now have intensified and its Bad Liar by Imagine Dragons now, hits different, wow.)

Seems there is some hot news in the superconductor space, I haven’t had a detailed look over it but it now seems that I need to, thanks to the memes and the hype on twitter. Also, twitter is something  I have started being hooked to recently, its not at all addictive, as of now though. I really wanna get back to college honestly, once you’ve been busy all day, being at home and doing nothing sucks at times, even if you spend time doing anything productive, the ambience matters. I guess its just too much randomness now, need to go.

Bye.
